Arsenal will host the Asian Women's Film Festival (AWFF) for the second time. It will include around forty films by female filmmakers from a number of Asian countries - with English subtitles! The program additionally includes films from the Asian Diaspora in the United States, Canada and Europe. The AWFF is organized by ASIA UNLIMITED – an intercultural event platform focusing on Asia.

The festival will open with a homage to the great Malaysian director Yasmin Ahmad, who died on July 25, 2009, with a screening of her last film, TALENT TIME (Yasmin Ahmad, Malaysia 2009). A school competition reveals the interplay of personal, religious and ethnic conflicts in multiethnic Malaysia in a critical and humorous way.
